The Metal Garden With Text

For my project I decided to make a metal garden. I wanted to bring a bit of fun to the courtyard on the side of my dorm.

I used a slinky for the stem and a thin wire for the petals and leaves. I also used gems in some of the flowers.

I tried to make different types of flowers and add a bit of variety to the garden that was already there.

The location is not often traveled, so I feel that this piece will be left up for a while. I hope that when people see this they will be happy to see something different around campus.

Besides the garden, I decided to morph wire into a text that read: "my everlasting light", it's a lyric from the Black Keys and I thought it was fitting for the courtyard. It is located diagonally across from the garden. It is not easily seen because it blends into the bark when it's light out, but anyone who is paying enough attention to their surroundings will notice it.
