For my art intervention project, I wanted to make something that remembered my black cat, Sally, who passed away a week ago. Knowing halloween is coming up soon, I decided to have this spooky black cat next to a tree with cat eyes. I also placed a nearby stone with "Sally" written in glitter glue, to show my love for her. The eyes on the tree are made out of leaves and outlined with the glitter.
I thought it was intriguing to see the leaves of the tree shaped into eyes and glued on the trunk. After setting up the scene, a few people passed by including a dog who came by to check out the cat. I hope people will take a second look at the tree, and wonder who Sally was and also have a spooky reminder that halloween is coming up.
